What we collect and why

When you submit a quote or contact form

When you fill in a form on qckhome.com (for example /quote or /contact), we collect the information you type in — typically your name, phone number, email address, project location, cottage model of interest, budget range, and any notes. We use this to respond with a personalised quote or to answer your enquiry.

When you message us on WhatsApp

If you tap a “WhatsApp us” button on the site, click a Meta ad that opens a WhatsApp chat, or message our WhatsApp Business number (+91 80493 68474), we receive your WhatsApp profile name, phone number, and the content of your messages. We use these to have a sales conversation with you.

When you visit the website

Our servers log basic technical information every time a page loads: the URL you visited, the page you came from (referrer), what campaign parameters your link carried (e.g., utm_sourcefrom an Instagram ad), the approximate device you’re on, and a hashed version of your IP address for basic bot filtering. We do not store your raw IP address.

We also use Meta Pixel and Google Analytics 4 to understand where our visitors come from and which ads drive real interest. These are standard analytics tools; see the “Third parties” section below.

Cookies

We use a small session cookie so our admin team can stay logged in to /admin. Analytics providers (Meta, Google) set their own cookies to attribute your visit to the ad you clicked. You can block or delete these cookies via your browser settings; the site will keep working.

How we use your information

• Respond to your quote request, share brochures, and follow up through the channel you contacted us on (phone, email, or WhatsApp)
• Send transactional messages relating to your enquiry — e.g., a confirmation email when you submit a quote, or a WhatsApp reply with the brochure you asked for
• Understand which marketing channels bring us serious enquiries so we can spend our advertising budget on the ones that work
• Detect and prevent fraudulent form submissions or spam
• Meet our legal and tax obligations (invoicing, GST records once you become a customer)

We do not sell your personal information. We don’t use it to build advertising profiles that get shared with third parties beyond the tracking tools listed below.

Third parties we share data with

To run the business we rely on a small number of well-known service providers. Each of them gets only the data they need to do their specific job.

Where we store your data

Your data lives on Amazon Web Services servers in the Asia-Pacific (Mumbai) region — inside India. WhatsApp messages transit Meta’s global infrastructure per Meta’s own policies. We do not transfer your data outside India for our own storage.

How long we keep your data

• Website form submissions and CRM records: retained indefinitely so we can pick up conversations from years past if you come back. You can request deletion at any time (see below).
• WhatsApp conversation history: retained indefinitely, same as above.
• Analytics data (page views, ad clicks): retained for up to 26 months in Google Analytics; Meta retains per its own policies.
• Invoices and tax records: retained for 8 years to meet Indian GST rules.

Your rights

Under India’s DPDP Act 2023 (and comparable rights in other jurisdictions), you can:

• Ask us what personal data we hold about you
• Correct anything that’s wrong
• Request deletion of your personal data (see /data-deletion)
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
• File a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India if you feel we’ve mishandled your data

How we protect your data

• Website traffic is served over HTTPS with valid SSL certificates
• The admin panel requires authentication; only sales team members with valid credentials can access lead data
• WhatsApp API keys, database passwords, and third-party access tokens are stored as server environment variables — never in code or public places
• Regular database backups; server access is IP-restricted

No system is perfect. If we ever discover a data breach that affects you, we’ll notify you and the Data Protection Board within 72 hours as required by law.

Children

Our services are meant for adults purchasing prefab cottages. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have data about a minor, please email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll also email customers whose data is affected.
